IV THERAPY & BLOODWITHDRAWAL STATE CERTIFICATION

Course Description: IV Therapy & BloodWithdrawal Certification training prepares participants to effectively deliver nursing care to patients on infusion therapies and gain confidence in their abilities. Whether you are a new grad, first timer, or RN with years of IV therapy/bloodwithdrawal experience, you will greatly benefit from this class. To ensure students feel comfortable during testing, safety issues and possible complications are covered prior to examination.
ALL COURSE PARTICIPANTS will be issued an IV Therapy/BloodWithdrawal Certificate. LVNs will receive (36 CE Contact Hours) at the completion of the class. RNs are encourage to attend the class in order to update their knowledge. Most healthcare facilities are now requiring RNs to take an IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Course to be considered for employment.
***Effective immediately, we have raised our rates for ther IV/BLDWDL Cert Class in order to accommodate the rising cost of materials. Regardless of the increase, we have been found to be cost-effective compared to others around. Group rates will apply for those who register with 5+ to the $195.00. If you are interested, please register well in advance as classes tend to fill in quickly.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (CPR)
Accredited programs, like ours, provide assurance to employers and staff members.
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. These healthcare providers may include (but are not limited to) physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows of medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, and other allied health personnel. The course is also designed for anyone who is required to take a healthcare provider course for employment. Proficiency in the skills of this course is a prerequisite for AHA advanced courses in resuscitation, including advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and BLS instructor courses.

American Heart Association Position Statement/Policy
The textbook is an integral part of the education process and the student should have the current textbook throughout the time that the information is required. Each student must have the current appropriate textbook for use before, during and after the course.
The American Heart Association promotes knowledge of and proficiency in CPR/BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Although this course is not sponsored by any AHA component, some or all materials utilized by the faculty or students may be American Heart Association materials supplied on a cost basis. Any fees charged for this course do not
represent revenue to the AHA. The American Heart Association endorses only
those products that are developed by the AHA.

EKG Interpretation Class
Our EKG Interpretaiton Class is ideal for the novice, as well as for the experienced professional. Refresh your skills and update your knowledge. This 2 day class is limited in size to ensure personalized instruction and guidance to give you the ability to retain the knowledge you will learn. At the end of the course, there will be an exam. 80% or higher is required to pass.
Day 1: heart anatomy, conduction system, rhythm identification, rhythm breakdown, components of a complex.
Day 2: rhythm review, practice reading EKG strips, reading cardiac monitor, lead placement, therapeutic modalities.

Cancellation: The course instructors reserve the right to cancel the course within five business days of the first class session due to insufficient enrollment. Full refunds will be given to pre-registrants. Participants may cancel 48 hours prior to course commencement. Individuals canceling prior to 48 hours of course beginning qualify for either 90% refund within or 1 course transfer within 3 months. No refunds will be given to transferee. No refunds given once class starts. Refunds may take up to 4-6 weeks.
